Saturday between 9am – 4pm and Sunday, 9am – 1pm you’re invited to spectate the Uxbridge Creative Centre Sculpture Symposium, I’ll be participating with a Macrocarpa wood carving, together with sculptors sought throughout New Zealand. Large scale works will be created from, Ponga, Oamaru stone and Marcrocarpa wood. It offers $2000 for the winning artwork, but also allows people of all ages and nationalities to gather at the park and watch art in action. There will be chidren’s creative stations, coffee and food stalls as well as discussions on public art.

Flat Boat making Saturday only, 11am – 1pm

Flag making Saturday 10am – 3pm, Sunday 10am – 1pm

Produce a flag which will become part of an ever changing sculpture onsite for the duration of the symposium.
